About Future of the Youth
Future of the Youth is a Detroit-based nonprofit dedicated to preparing minority and underserved young people for the future through education, mentorship, and real-world skills.
Our Mission
Future of the Youth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preparing young people for economic opportunity and the future of work.
We provide practical education in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, artificial intelligence, technology, and career readiness. Our programs are designed to expose youth to skills and opportunities that can help them become financially capable, technologically prepared, and confident about their futures.
Our Vision
We envision communities where young people have access to the financial knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, emerging technology education, and mentorship needed to compete in tomorrow’s economy.
Our long-term vision is to expand Future of the Youth programming into communities across the country and create pathways for thousands of young people to become entrepreneurs, technology leaders, professionals, and financially empowered adults.
Our Approach
Our nonprofit program is dedicated to empowering students from minority and underserved communities by providing access to free academic support and resources. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance. Through tutoring, mentorship, and skill-building workshops, we create a safe and encouraging space where students can strengthen their academic foundation, build confidence, and prepare for future success.
Today our programs span entrepreneurship, financial literacy, artificial intelligence & technology, and career & leadership development, so students build financial, technical, and professional skills together.
Who We Serve
We serve students in grades 2 through 12 from minority and underserved communities in Detroit. Our programs are free for participating families, because every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance.
